We are looking for a Deputy Director of Finance with drive, ambition and a passion for excellence. Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance, the post holder will be responsible for the overall management and continued development of the Trust’s Finance, contracting and procurement function. We are looking for someone with the ability to innovate and adapt the finance function to support our evolving service models. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a high profile and demanding organisation.

The post holder will take the lead role in ensuring the Trust’s statutory and internal financial reporting and planning requirements are met, that executives, clinicians and managers receive high quality financial management information to meet the business needs of the Trust, enabling the Trust to deliver value for money and achieve its challenging financial targets.

The post holder will also take the lead role in developing the Finance Team to ensure processes are efficient, effective and consistent across all service areas, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will be someone who pushes the boundaries, who wants to create a finance team with a reputation for innovation and excellence.

The post holder will also deputise for the Executive Director of Finance, covering the whole portfolio (Finance, Contracting, Procurement, Fleet, Estates, ICT, Business Intelligence)

You will have significant post qualified experience and your career will demonstrate considerable achievements in the NHS. In addition, you will possess a versatile and inspiring management approach and a real appetite to undertake a broad and challenging position. This role provides an excellent platform for an aspiring Finance Director who is seeking a challenging and rewarding role.
