Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is looking for a highly credible IT professional to lead the Trust’s Infrastructure and Voice Communications Services, which includes the data and telephone networks underpinning the Emergency Operations Centres (999), and our NHS 111 and Patient Transport Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivational and inspirational leader with significant management experience who is looking to broaden their experience within an emergency setting and/or the NHS.
As the Infrastructure and Voice Communications Manager you will proactively manage the technical environment in order to ensure maximum availability and the efficient running of the Trust’s 24/7 x 365 days a year business critical telephony and mobile data services which are relied upon for real time operations. This critical role is challenging and therefore it is essential you have not only the knowledge and experience of leading technical teams but also possess strong analytical and critical reasoning skills and the resilience and confidence to manage when deadlines are tight.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of IM&T you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to shape strategies, develop additional services and implement new ways of working associated with the Trust’s telephony network, voice recording and mobile data dispatch facility. You will ensure the Trust is utilising the latest of technology within our control rooms and are continually improving the integration between our systems and those of other health care providers and emergency services. It is therefore essential you had a drive for continual improvement and possess strong consultation and negotiation skills, along with excellent communication skills.
To be successful in this role you should be educated to Masters level in Computer Sciences / Business IT, or possess equivalent industry level experience, and hold a professional network IT qualification.
