The Yorkshire Ambulance Service Patient Transport Service (PTS) is one of the largest in England with PTS contracts to the value of £28 million pounds. To support the continued development of the service, an opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work part time as a Patient Flow Assistant (PFA) within the Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling queries over the telephone from patients, doctors, hospitals and others. You will also deal with patients attending appointments at the hospital marking them ready to go home and looking after their transport needs ensuring that delays are kept to a minimum.
The ability to communicate on all levels is essential and the successful applicant must be able to work on their own or as part of a team and use their initiative.
This role is being offered on a part time basis, 15 hours per week.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
